Orthopedic Services

Our veterinary patients are commonly affected by juvenile bone and joint problems, such as HOD, panosteitis, OCD, hip and elbow dysplasia and angular limb deformities. Early diagnosis and intervention for hip and elbow dysplasia are performed with a goal of limiting debilitating joint degeneration. We commonly perform OFA and PennHip certification for hip dysplasia. If indicated triple pelvic osteotomies (TPO) can be performed.

Pre-TPO Post-TPO

Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) ruptures are a common problem in dogs. We commonly perform Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomies (TPLO) in medium, large and giant breed dogs.

Pre-TPLO Post-TPLO

Fractures are common injuries in animals often resulting from car accidents and falls. Many fractures require surgery for correction.

Pre-Bone Plating Post-Bone Plating

We use internal fixation procedures involving plates, screws, pins and wire. Some fractures may be treated with external fixation or splinting. Post-operative and arthritic patients may receive physical rehabilitation.
